OneNote

For the last couple of months my teachers here at Sandvika upper secondary school have been worshiping OneNote and everything about it. Of course I agree with them that it is a great program but is it really necessary to start every class with worship? If I wanted to have worship as part of my school day I would have applied to Kristelig Gymnasium in Oslo, not Sandvika.

If you don't know what OneNote is here is a short description from Microsoft’s homepage: "Office OneNote 2007 is a digital notebook that provides people one place to gather their notes and information, powerful search to find what they are looking for quickly, and easy-to-use shared notebooks so that they can manage information overload and work together more effectively.” Sounds awesome don’t it? I can totally understand why the teachers here at Sandvika love OneNote so much. They are teachers. They usually got a lot more documents and presentations on their HHD's than we the students do. Why do we need an organization program when we don't have anything to organize? Don't get me wrong here, I do homework and what I'm told to but I feel that I got a good enough system for organizing my files. I don't need all my teachers to tell me how to do it. It's like I will get the grade 6 (best grade) just if I use OneNote according to my teachers. And why did they wait till the second semester before they introduced OneNote? I understand that Micro$oft are greedy and don't like to hand out licenses just like that, but seriously. The teachers can't just expect us to start using OneNote in the middle of the school year. Many of us have had OneNote on our machines since 2006 so to say that we did not have it before now is a weak excuse. I decided that I did not need to use the program back in 2006 and I have stood by that ever since. That's why I think it is so ridiculous that the teachers now in 2009 have started to praise a program that was introduced in 2006.

I am sure many people will disagree with me, especially my teacher Mrs. Michalsen. But to be honest I couldn’t care less what the OneNote fanatics think about a "denier" like me.

Hey dude!

I think you're kinda missing the point here. This post is supposed to be a commercial, remember? What do you actually use OneNote for?

Think I'll make an update on my blog soon.
