UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE!!!!!!!!!!!!

In June I wrote that I probably would still update this blog from time to time. So here is an update for you (Mrs. Michalsen to be precise, since she is the only one who actually cares to read this blog ;)).

Since my last entry a lot have happened. I don’t longer live in Norway, but in Canada. Ottawa to be precise. My mum got a job over here, so I’m staying with her and my brother and sister to help out with whatever they need help with. Other than going to IKEA once in a while I spend my days reading various English and Norwegian books. However, I’m not a geek, so I do spend a lot of time cruising around in Ottawa exploring the city too. After all, the cops can’t give you a ticket for speeding if you drive a car with diplomatic license plates ;). So that’s basically my life for the moment. I’m also jogging a lot (almost forgot about that), trying to get in shape before I join HMKG in January. In mid-December this sweet life is going end. Then I’ll head back to Norway to work at Meny the entire Christmas and the two first weeks of January.

So if anyone got any questions about Canada, or how fast it’s possible to drive through a 50 km/h zone without getting pulled over, just ask and I’ll try my best to answer. That’s it for now, and I promise that the next update won’t take so long. (the house in the picture is the house I currently live in).

Wow, I am impressed! Perhaps I'll have my students ask you some questions and you can be my correspondent in Canada. My first question to you would be this: How do the Canadians view Obama's Nobel Peace Prize. We were discussing that in class the other day. And by the way, speeding is also dangerous. So slow down, it would be good to get you back in one piece!

Well, it depends on their political views. On the day that the Nobel committee announced that he had won, the Royal Norwegian Embassy received lots and lots of mail from conservative Canadians. Apparently they think (the conservatives) that he won the prize due to his popularity.

When it comes to regular Canadians that I'm hanging out with they seem to be more split. Some people think it's great, while some think it's (again) due to his popularity in Europe.

About the speeding...Kinda hard not to go fast when you're driving a car with diplomatic license plates, aka a car that can't get tickets.

Hey mr. Fossum!
Can't enlist myself as a follower of your blog, but I'll try to drop by every once in a while. And you should enable the follow function-thingy.

And how fast is it possible to go in that 50 km/h zone without getting pulled over? Your training regimen seems slightly lacking, btw ;)

It would be cool if you posted something on what you're going to do after HMKG (assuming you have any idea).

Deff Mr. Sparre. I'll see what I'll be able to do.
